Microsoft announced yesterday a complete overhaul of its Surface family of devices, which will hit stores in the coming weeks.

Specifically, the Redmond company has introduced: Surface Go 2, Surface Book 3, Surface Headphones 2, Surface Earbuds, Surface dock 2 and Microsoft USB-C Travel Hub Multiport.

Surface Go 2

Maintaining the design of the previous model, now its screen rises to 10.5″, compared to the 10″ of the original, has a battery that lasts longer and gives superior performance thanks to the new Intel Core M 8th generation, up to 65% faster than the previous generation.

To improve remote communication, the device now features Studio Mics, a dual microphone that increases voice clarity and reduces background noise, along with a new 5 megapixel front camera.

The rear camera now allows scanning of documents and whiteboards, and is compatible with the Surface Pen.

Surface Go 2 will go on sale on 12 May from $399. Students will get a 5% discount, and those who book it will get a free Surface Mobile Mouse.

Surface Book 3

The most powerful Microsoft laptop, designed for professionals or very demanding users who program, compile, run important workloads in Adobe or Autodesk, or want to use it as a gaming laptop, has also been renewed.

This third generation has up to 50% more performance than Surface Book 2 thanks to its 10th generation Intel CPU and Nvidia’s dedicated GPU, which can even be the Quadro RTX 3000, a faster SSD and up to 32GB of RAM. Its battery can last up to 17.5 hours.

The Surface Book 3 will go on sale next June 5th from $1599 in its most basic configuration. Students will have a 10% discount. Those who book it will get a free Surface Pen.

The new Microsoft headset features 13 levels of ambient noise cancellation and a battery that now runs for up to 20 hours.

The active noise cancellation is adjusted through dials, specially designed to block or amplify human voices.

The design of the headband has changed so that the earpads now rotate through 180°, making it much more comfortable to wear the headphones around your neck.

The new fully wireless headset features a comfortable, secure fit with touch controls that allow you to answer a call or change songs without touching the phone.

It offers rich, immersive sound and an electric battery that can be used for up to 8 hours without interruption. Its case provides for two additional charges. With 10 minutes of charging time, we can use it for 1 hour.
