Google has announced that the first beta of Android 11, the next version of its operating system for mobile devices, media centers and various devices, is now available.
One of the new features is that, from now on, all the conversations we have, regardless of the messaging service used, will appear in an exclusive space in the notification section, making it easier to manage them all from a single place.
There is even the possibility to mark the ones we want as favorites, so that they will always be highlighted, even with the “Do Not Disturb” mode activated.
Related to conversations, Android 11 releases the Bubbles feature, which will allow us to answer messages and have conversations without having to leave the application we were using at the time.
In addition, the new version of Gboard will automatically suggest text and emojis as we write thanks to the AI supported by “Federated Learning”. However, Google does not read anything of what we write.
The management of intelligent devices at home will also be easier from now on with the new version of the Mountain View operating system. Just by pressing and holding the power button, you will be able to control all of them quickly and easily, as well as having things like credit cards or boarding passes at hand.
The new media controls will make it easier to change devices on which the audio or video is played.
Now we can set unique permissions so that applications only use the microphone, camera or location when we tell them to do so each time we are going to use it or when it needs access to these sensors.
If an application is not used for a long period of time, the permissions will be automatically reset, notifying us of this. Logically, when we use it again we can assign it the permissions that we believe convenient.
It also includes other options, such as the screen recorder, voice access improvements, improved performance and a renewed share menu.
The Android 11 beta is now available for the Pixel 2, Pixel 3 and Pixel 4 families. More devices will be added in the coming weeks. More devices will be added in the coming weeks. To participate in the beta and/or get more information about it, there is the official website.
