We may delete soon activity and location data on Google. The company has announced on its blog the introduction of self-eliminating controls of the user’s activity history or location data, which will be available in the coming weeks.
Google Account activity controls allow you to activate or pause the collection of location or activity data from both the web and the application.
The information collected and saved, as explained from Google, is used to improve services. They argue that with search history, faster searches can be offered, and with location history, personalized maps. It also stores YouTube history, voice commands, and mobile device information.
These controls are managed manually, i.e. the user has to activate or pause them, and in some cases even have to delete manually stored information.
