Documentary director Abigail Disney, granddaughter and heiress of the founder of the Disney company, has described as “madness” the salary of more than 65 million dollars a year received by the CEO of the multinational, Bob Iger.
Through a message published in her official Twitter profile, Abigail Disney considers that the salary paid by the company to top executives has “a corrosive effect on society” and compares it with the minimum wage of 15 dollars paid by employees of the park that Disney has in California.
In addition, she points out that if the company carried out a 15% increase in the salary of all its workers, Iger could still accumulate an income of more than 10 million dollars, something that, according to her, “violates the innate sense of justice”.
Let me very clear. I like Bob Iger. I do NOT speak for my family but only for myself. Other than owning shares (not that many) I have no more say in what happens there than anyone else. But by any objective measure a pay ratio over a thousand is insane. https://t.co/O34OjXd6rr
