An 18-year-old woman has threatened Columbine School in Colorado. This case occurs within days of the 20th anniversary of the Columbine shooting on April 20, 1999. In Columbine, set an example for school shootings in the last 20 years, students Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold murdered 12 of their classmates and a teacher before committing suicide.
After the threat, a multitude of schools have closed their doors. Through Twitter, police in the region are updating all the information they collect and are asking for citizen help in the event that someone has seen the girl.
Police say the woman is armed and consider her “extremely dangerous” and “obsessed” with the shooting 20 years ago at Columbine School in Denver, Colorado, the city she traveled to on Monday.
The FBI agent in Denver, Dean Phillips, explained in a press conference Tuesday night that there is a “big search operation” underway to locate the woman, identified as Sol Pais, 18 years old. The woman, which the local sheriff has considered “extremely dangerous,” traveled this Monday from Florida, where she resides, to Denver.
On his arrival in the capital of Colorado, she bought a rifle and ammunition, according to the authorities. His presence in Denver caused that this Tuesday that some educational centers, including Columbine, activate protocols consisting of the blockade of the external doors while the classes were maintained with normality. At the end of the school day, the centers were under police protection for students to leave and, in some cases, they were not allowed to walk alone to their homes, according to The Denver Post.
