Rap, bundles of bills, girls in bikinis, swimming pool, champagne bottles… These were the main ingredients of a video that some friends from Birmingham (United Kingdom) uploaded to YouTube. But at the time they were not aware of the recklessness they had just committed: thanks to these images, the Organised Crime Unit of the West Midlands region has been able to arrest them, accused of various drug-related offences.
Shaun Barnhurst, Kyle Esty and Remy Cary are the names of the three friends, who posed singing, surrounded by girls with little clothes and throwing bundles of banknotes. In their songs they talked about drugs, shootings and police.
In addition to drug trafficking charges, two of the detainees also face penalties for possession of weapons. These three detainees were friends from childhood, and their friendship led to illicit business.
