The Tesla will soon be one step closer to KITT, the Knight Rider’s car. Elon Musk, the company’s CEO, has announced that “soon” the Teslas will be able to talk to people. It is not that the car will become a voice assistant or anything like that, but rather it will be a way to warn surrounding pedestrians about the presence of the car or the movements it wants to make.
At this point, it’s not clear when this new feature will be introduced and which Tesla models will do it. Beyond a “soon” and “this is real” by Elon Musk, there are no other details about it. In this first announcement of the functionality, Elon Musk has shown a Tesla saying “But don’t just stand there looking, hop in”, listening perfectly from the outside of the car.
