It’s called Home Arcade and will arrive with 16 preloaded games. Capcom has officially announced its release like a desktop console reminiscent of the old arcades.
Its design adapts to the logo of the brand. The Home Arcade features two joysticks in the style of the old arcade machines, all in white, blue and yellow. Each controller allows eight directions and buttons (OBSF for “better accuracy”) to play the 16 titles preloaded. All of them can be played either individually or in multiplayer mode with a friend.
Video games are all the developers’ classics:
- 1944: The Loop Master
- Alien vs Predator
- Armored Warriors
- Capcom Sports Club
- Captain Commando
- Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
- ECO Fighters
- Final Fight
- Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
- Giga Wing
- Meta Man: The Power Battle
- Street Fighter II: Hyper
- Super Puzzle Fighter II: Turbo
This mini desktop arcade console will include an HDMI cable to connect to a TV or monitor, and a USB power supply. In addition, it has a WiFi connection to upload scores to Capcom Home Arcade’s Worldwide High Score Leaderboard. Koch Media, the distribution company, explains that the Home Arcade is designed for ‘plug and play’. The retro console will go on sale on 25 October.
