Marvel has published by surprise the first teaser trailer of Black Widow, the new film of the Marvel Cinematographic Universe starring Scarlett Johansson. Chronologically, the film comes just after Captain America: Civil War, when the character decides to face his past.
The film, which will reach the cinema in May 2020, has been directed by Cate Shortland, who has become the first woman to lead a film from Marvel’s Cinematographic Universe.
This film will begin the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematographic Universe, which will continue in November with Ethernals. The story explains Natasha’s past, her training in the “Red Room” and why she decided to give up the life of a murderer, among many other things. All this will be wrapped in constant flashbacks that will transfer momentarily to previous epochs of the character.
The character of Black Widow was introduced for the first time in the second installment of Iron Man (2010). The film to be released in May 2020 will be the first to revolve around it and its history, unlike many other members of the Marvel Film Universe.
The Black Widow cast includes David Harbour (Alexei Shostakov, Red Guardian), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova, Black Widow), Rachel Weisz (Melina Vostokoff, Black Widow) and O.T. Fagbenle (Rick Mason).
Marvel took the opportunity to publish a poster of the film in which you can see Natasha (Scarlett Johansson) walking in front of a red “X”.
