Codes are everywhere; we come across them numerous times in our daily life. Here we have a collection of kids friendly coding gadgets, robots, apps, boardgames and more from all over the world for the kids to learn coding in fun way.

Jewelbots: Jewelbots are Arduino-compatible, customizable friendship bracelets that teaches girls the basics of coding. This technology-enabled jewelry provides a means of communication with friends by lighting up when a BFF is near or buzzing to send messages.

Wireless Thymio Robot: The Wireless Thymio Robot lets the kids learn the fundamentals of technology, computing and programming. The new Thymio can be programmed wirelessly using a USB dongle. Thymio comes with six pre-programmed behaviors, kids can use visual programming language to develop logical and creative thinking and textual programming language to code like an engineer.

Quirkbot: Quirkbot makes it easy for kids to make their own robots with straws. Its microcontroller compatible with Strawbees, allows kids to build robots with readily available materials like regular drinking straws, hobby servos (motors) and more. You can program the device via USB from their website. All you need to do is just drag and drop the components you want to program, connect them and press upload.

Ozobot: Ozobot is a smart programmable robot that teaches kids the basics of coding and programming in fun and interactive ways. It measures just over 1 inch in height and diameter; don’t let its small size undermine it, it’s a powerful learning tool for the young programmer in your life. It comes to life when you create mazes, tracks and playgrounds on paper and digital screens.

Linkitz: Linkitz is smart, code-able friendship bracelet that let kids greet their friends with sparkling lights and sound. Kids can customize it by using a simple, pictorial programming language. It lights up when your friends are nearby, can be made to light up in different colors when your best friend is nearby, use to send secret coded messages, use as walkie-talkie and more.

Vortex: Vortex is a smart and responsive robot that kids can play with and program. It comes with four pre-installed games, is compatible with iOS and Android devices. Using the Vortex and apps, kids can play different games, learn about robotics, and even create their own. Vortex is open-source and is compatible with Arduino and Scratch.

Kano: Kano is a computer and coding kit for anyone to start coding right away. It’s simple, fun, and for everyone. You can build a computer, powered by Raspberry Pi, HD video, wireless server and anything else, because Kano is open source.

Codie: Codie is a cute personal robot that makes coding fun for kids. Its app organizes advanced code into blocks so kids can arrange to make programs. The robot features a microphone, compass, accelerometer/gyroscope, lightsensor, and more.

Tickle: Tickle brings Scratch 2.0, to the iPad, with added powerful capabilities that allows anyone to learn to create interactive stories on iPad and amazing games, and program Smart Toys and Smart Homes.

Mbot: Mbot is an affordable educational robot kit for kids that allow them to get hands-on experience about graphical programming, electronics, and robotics. It contains only about 45 pieces in total and can be assembled in 10 minutes. Based on Scratch 2.0, a new software was developed called mBlock to use Scratch-style coding to program Arduino and robots.

ScratchJr: ScratchJr enables kids to create their own interactive stories and more, they can snap together graphical programming blocks to make characters move, sing, jump, and dance. Apart from these they can even modify characters in the paint editor, insert their photos, voices and sounds and use the programming blocks to make their characters come to life.

Eedu: Eedu is a programmable drone kit that’s easy to use. It allows kids to quickly create their own drone applications. The kit comes with Skyworks Aerial System’s open source development software Forge. Once you assemble your Eedu, you can sync it to Forge. It’s a robotics developmentenvironment that runs on your web browser and will even teach you how to code.

Coding Farmers: Coding Farmers is a Java programming boardgame for kids that teaches them real programming concepts in a fun and intuitive way.

Robotiky: Robotiky is a small programmable robot that uses online tutorials and more and teaches kids programming and robotics while they play.

Code Monkey Island: Code Monkey Island is a family-friendly boardgame that teaches programming basics to kids.
