A few months ago Google announced Stadia, its own video game platform that uses its different technologies to offer a different experience to players. This Thursday they held their Stadia Connect conference where they presented their game catalogue, their launch package and their monthly subscription. From November this service will be available in Google’s main markets.

Stadia is a meeting point for players and viewers of video games, which can be accessed from anywhere with Wi-Fi connection and the controller to play. You can use a Chromecast, a Smart TV, a computer or a Google Pixel 3 or 3a as main screen. The user will be able to play without the need for installation, downloads, patches or updates. Therefore, it is a new digital platform for video games that can be used anywhere.

If you already have any of these devices, you only need the remote, which can be purchased for 69 euros in three colors (White, Black and Wasabi), and buy any of the games in its catalog.

The subscription to Stadia Pro will cost 9.99 euros per month and gives the user the possibility to play different titles from the video game catalogue. In addition, with this premium service can be played in 4K HDR at 60 frames per second and 5.1 surround sound, provided the screen in which it is used has these features. Stadia Pro will also include free content as well as discounts on the games the user wants to buy. The first free title will be Destiny 2: The Collection, Bungie’s hit. This gift includes the basic game, all expansions that have been released so far, the upcoming Shadowkeep expansion and the Annual Pass.

If the user does not want to play in 4K and prefers not to pay for the Stadia Pro catalogue, he has the Stadia Base option. With this mode, the player will be able to enjoy only the games he has bought, but with the functionalities that Google Stadia offers: play from any screen, with immediate access and without installations or updates. But even if the 4K is not available in this economic option, the graphics are not left behind, because the resolution of Stadia Base will be 1080p and 60 frames per second.

Google has also announced the Founder’s Edition package that can already be booked, although there will be a limited number of units. This edition includes a Chromecast Ultra, a Stadia controller, a three-month subscription to Stadia Pro, a Buddy Pass to invite a friend for three months and the privilege of choosing your Stadia Name. The package will go on sale for 129 euros.
