The Final Fantasy narrative takes on such proportions that it takes a lot of space for the player to have it at his disposal. This is the case with the first chapter of Final Fantasy VII Remake. According to its producers, it will occupy not one but two Blu-Ray discs.
The first chapter of the video game will be released in March 2020 and will not be the only one. There will be more episodes of the remake series in the future. The producer of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Yoshinori Kitase, has confirmed this on Twitter. In his tweet in Japanese, as a statement (fortunately a user of Reddit translated it), the head of the franchise of Hironobu Sakaguchi that develops Square Enix noted several previews of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
In explaining the reconstruction and the size of the narrative until Midgar’s escape, Kitase says they wanted to represent Midgar in the game, the “frame of the world” in which the original Final Fantasy VII was developed. He says that they have redesigned the interior of the city’s structure, added new episodes and reflected the day-to-day life of its inhabitants. And all this, accompanied by an optimisation of the growth of the characters and the locations of the monsters. That’s why the two Blu-Ray albums. The producers want this first title of the video game to go on sale on March 3, 2020. The idea is that it will be part of a series of more remake titles.
