Riot Games is diversifying its offering to be much more than the authors of a popular and almost mythical MOBA like League of Legends. Precisely, the latest in League of Legends is a game, but not a video game.
After Teamfight Tactics and Legends of Runeterra, Riot Games has announced Tellstones: King’s Gambit, a board game set in Runeterra, the world of League of Legends.
“Our first board game was a huge cooperative experience full of miniatures and narrative content. Our second game is competitive, smaller, and played faster,” says Riot Games.
The authors describe Tellstones: King’s Gambit as a game of deception, in which all players can see what is going on at all times.
Riot’s previous board game was Mechs Vs Minions, which had the cooperative experience as one of its bases.
