Testing of the PC version of Halo 3 will begin “mid-month,” according to 343 Industries.
In a message published in Halo Waypoint, the study explained that these tests will allow them to check not only how the game works, but also to gather feedback on the content and “ensure that all compatible systems are working properly.
The tests include multiplayer modes on ten maps, including custom games, social games and competitive games, as well as five campaign missions (Sierra 117, The Storm, The Ark, The Covenant and Halo). Forge and Theatre modes can also be tested.
To participate in the test you have to follow the instructions published in the official post. Basically you need to register as Halo Insider, update your profile information with your PC’s features and cross your fingers to be among the selected ones.
Halo 3 will be added for free to all users who purchased the Halo: Master Chief Collection on Steam or in the Windows Store, as well as the version included in the Xbox Game Pass for PC. Users who wish to do so may also purchase the game independently.
After that, it will be the turn of Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4. Microsoft has already confirmed that both titles will be available in the PC Master Chief Collection before the end of 2020.
