The Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 patch is now available and, again, its size is quite substantial.
These are the sizes of the games on console:
PlayStation 5: 17GB
PlayStation 4: 17GB
Xbox One Series X / Xbox One Series S: 17.9GB
Xbox One: 17.9GB
PC: 16.9GB (Warzone only), 20.8GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare)
The download, however, asks us for around 100GB of free space in order to start.
This is especially bad considering that, on PlayStation 5, there is still no way to move PlayStation 5 games to a hard drive, having to be permanently on the SSD.
Activision has addressed the issue of storage for its Call of Duty games in a warning on its website, noting that those who own a PlayStation 4 with a 500GB hard drive may have trouble storing full versions of Modern Warfare, Warzone and Black Ops Cold War.
This means that, for the first time, Activision is warning that keeping all three games up to date with Season 2 may not be compatible with basic PlayStation 4 users.
“If you have both games installed and want to keep up with updates, you may need to delete some files in order to perform the download and installation of the Warzone patch.”
