The new installment of the Total War strategy series is now dated, and its launch is surprising.
Although originally revealed on Steam, The Creative Assembly (developer) and SEGA (publisher) have announced a collaboration with Epic Games. As such, A Total War Saga: Troy will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store for one year, beginning with its launch on August 13.
But that’s not the only surprise in this announcement (which has been accompanied by the trailer you can see above), and that is that the game will be completely free in its first 24 hours. Any user will be able to download it without any cost, as long as they do it on that release day.
Through a statement, the studio has clarified that they have no plans to release future exclusives with Epic. Their intention is to have all their games simultaneously on all possible platforms to reach as many people as possible.
