The Facebook Messenger already has a ‘dark mode’ version. In this way, the typical colours (blue and white) are replaced by greys and blacks when the lighting is low. Thus, we avoid bright colors on the screen of our device and reduces eye fatigue. With this version the battery consumption also decreases.
To use this new mode you have to enter the application settings menu. Facebook continues its modernization and this comes only a few days after WhatsApp ‘states’ can be published in the form of ‘stories’ on the social network. The application will also stop notifying you of the birthdays of friends who have died, as a form of respect.
Facebook Messenger is not the only app that presents the ‘dark mode’. Twitter has had it since 2016, but at the beginning of April it made a new improved version available to its users. Whatshap is also working in this mode.
